Default NGD ....a diamond in the rough

I think I found what many of us after long for, namely, a very nice guitar that is very cheap!

As you can see by my signature I love Alvarez Guitars. I found an Alvarez regent series 5224 acoustic guitar for a super great price.

I bought it off of Reverb

It arrived yesterday but I let it warm up for a day because it is super cold here.

I am really blown Away by the tone. It is super loud, it is like a Canon as the saying goes. It also sounds crystal clear! am very happy and pleased with this new guitar.

The price? $60!

Congrats on your new acquisition. A new purchase is always sweeter when procured at a good price.

I love diamond in the rough guitar stories! I found one maybe 40 years ago. The tag said "Old and tired but still a fighter". She sounded great! I bought her and she was my go to guitar for over twenty years. Whenever I was in the neighborhood of a guitar shop I liked to stop in and check things out. Always looking for another diamond. Never found another! Congrats. There is something to be said for an older guitar that finds its' way home. Even after many years.

Well, when you think about it, there are a number of boutique guitar makers producing multi-thousand dollar guitars that are copies of $15 catalogue guitars of the past. Therefore, it stands to reason that some of the cheap guitars built today will have boutique copies being made of them in 100 years time.

So there certainly will be diamonds in the rough.
