*SALE PENDING* Martin CS21-11
For sale is my 2011(Feb) CS21-11. I purchased from the original owner.
It is a beautiful and warm sounding guitar that is starting to get some growl if desired. Very well balanced sound. It has plenty of volume if you need it as well. The guitar is feather light in weight due to the special build requirements using the lightest woods they could find. The neck I would refer to as a full C shape being hand carved. I do not believe the guitar has ever had a setup. The action appears to be 'factory height' and there is plenty of nut and saddle to lower if desired. I personally like the height. The neck is straight. I have pictures of the string height at nut, 1st fret, 12th fret. The frets show almost no signs of wear that I can see. The smell of this guitar makes me want to find a way to make it an air freshener. I've never had a guitar that smells as sweet as this one. When I purchased the guitar, the original owner stated the back had 'developed a crack' that was repaired. It was repaired only requiring glue. I am not able to take a picture that will show the location on the back. It can only be seen at an angle in certain light. There is a ding on the back that I am able to picture. I have considered having the ding fixed, but did not since it does not affect the playability of the guitar. I have taken it to a reputable repair shop and they give me a $50 estimate to make it disappear. The reason I am selling is a part of downsizing. I love this guitar, but I have another Madagascar that I play more. I am selling this guitar as well as another with hopes to replace with one to complete my meager collection. I am full of Martins and need at least one boutique builder guitar. It is a fantastic guitar. Kind of already feeling sellers remorse. Lol! Thanks! |
