Yahama acoustic electric question
Might anyone know the approximate year built of this Yahama model , sorry I don’t have the serial number as I’m considering purchasing it
Yahama FG 411 CE MAB I only have seen pictures and it looks really well kept Wondering what the MAB means? Do pickups that old go bad? Or way substandard in today’s world It’s only 140.00 dollars Wasn’t sure this is a great find? Or something I should avoid I realize sound is everything and I am meeting the seller later to touch and hear this guitar Thoughts |

Pickups can go bad.
But I have three guitars from the ‘90’s that are Still going strong. Even if they don’t work...you can remove the stock system, and put in any number of aftermarket set-ups. If the guitar is good, you have a decent starting point.

Believe it was made between 95 and 99.
MAB probably refers to the finish Marine Blue which was one of four options for this model. Spruce top, Agathis back & sides, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. Factory fitted System 33 pickup. Regards, Clive |
