Thanks Neil. I do like the satin finish but I take your point about the swishes.

I think I have a big trip ahead of me to try a few out and one shop has the L-05 in stock so I will give that a go for sure.

I like Neil’s suggestion. The 05 series is a great choice

You're welcome.

FWIW I find that mahogany in general records better. I don't have an L-05 but looked at them as well as the D-03 sapele. I opted instead for a mahogany/Sitka Martin D-16GT because the former 2 sounded too similar to my OM-03R; I wanted more bass and less pronounced mids.
