Yes, but do you gig with your top of the line Elliott capo, or do you bring your cheapo Dunlop or Kyser knockoff capo? Can the audience hear the difference?

If you check out my video on the first page, you'll see that I use a Thalia capo. A Texas flag, to be exact.

And I also leave my tuner on the headstock for all the world to see.

Yeah, I gigged professionally for 20+ years. Everyone's mileage varies but I never used a "gig" guitar and left the good ones at home, and neither did any of my bandmates, or the bands we played with. I also was never in the position to own a laundry list of guitars, so if you have 2 or 3 really good guitars, they are the "gig" guitars. I'd bring all three on the road. Different strokes and all that.
