Default What guitar size does a mini jumbo compare to?

I have no experience with mini jumbo's. I recently saw the review of the Seagull SWS mini jumbo in the recent acoustic guitar magazine. Now the name is a little deceiving. Mini Jumbo... Is it a OM size guitar? A Jumbo size? Or something right in between?

This may be common knowledge but again I have no experience with them.

Thanks !

jumbos i see are usually about 16.5-17"

most miniJs i see are about 16"- 16.25".. these are for the lower bouts..

OM is pretty small.. i'd say between jumbo and an auditorium

Generally a 16" lower bout and a 11" upper bout.Measurements will vary from builder to builder or company but thats the typical ball park.

If I ever saw a jumbo shrimp the size of a mini-Jumbo guitar . . . .

I think that'd qualify as a giant squid.

A had bought a Seagull mini jumbo and it was about the size of my Larrivee OM. I brought it back and traded it in for a Yamaha LJ6, which is called a "jumbo." it too is about the size of my OM, just a touch wider in the lower bout.
