Default Vintage Harmony Acoustic Guitar Fans Unite!

I love these old Chicago built Bluecollar boxes, and I know I'm not alone.

So much Mojo! Let's represent.

Here's one of mine:

and here are some other guys who love 'em:

I have always had a soft spot for them:

I want to get a Sovereign at some point.

I LOOOOVE Harmonys, and I'd love to add one to my collection...

Any advice as to where to find them though? I know they're around but I have yet to see one for sale in person. I've played several though and thought they were the bees knees.

Craigslist -- be wary though, many have warped necks or are in need of a neck reset, my Airline above needs one bad, I shaved the bridge some which helps, but it could still use some help, works great for slide though.

I have a mid-1950s small body 12 fret Harmony from Steve Chipman at Vintage Parlor Guitars. Light as a feather with a distinctive voice -- a guitar that gets lots of playing time from me including today.

Here are some good places to look (links included):
* Jake Wildwood's Antebellum Instruments
* Reverb
* A National Craigslist Search
* Vintage Parlor Guitars (already mentioned, but added here to give the link)

As has already been mentioned, when buying these on-line, it's really important to ask the seller about the neck set and action of the guitar.

Here is my H-162 that I just got off of Reverb (GREAT transaction, BTW). This one had already had a neck reset and refret.
