And now for some variety...
We are back home after all but two weeks of the past 9 months in the motorhome. The carbon fiber RainSong Shorty took care of the travel duty, but one of the first things I did after getting things moved back into the house: check out the guitars that have been patiently waiting. In 48% humidity (in their cases)... looking forward to getting my guitar room set up again!

Brings real meaning to "Its good to be home" doesn't it?

Welcome home Captain! I've been traveling with a Rainsong parlor for the last year and a half, now that I'm home, it's still the one I reflexively reach for. I think I'll stick it back in my trunk so my OM's can get some play time.

I know what you mean. I'm about to end a 9 month separation from my nylon string guitar, for which am strongly jonesing.

Nine months in a motorhome calls for some Ry Cooder.

From Arizona to the Tropical Tip of Texas, to the midwest, across the Rockies, to the Pacific Northwest, spent the summer driving a whale watch boat in the San Juan Islands, leisurely through some National Parks on the way back to Arizona, to Ft. Worth for a family wedding, and now back home to the Tropical Tip.
The RainSong Shorty handled all those changes of climate and humidity with a smile. I enjoy the traveling... get itchy feet after a month or two in one place, but it is nice to be back home. For a while. It is like getting a bunch of new guitars! |
