Default A fun little video—see if you can spot the AGFers!

A few years ago, I was on a hike up above 12,000 feet on the Colorado Trail, and it occurred to me that everything I had on me—shoes, backpack, clothes, water bottle, etc—had been purchased at REI, the famous outdoor outfitter. In that moment, I realized that I was kind of like REI, but instead of outfitting outdoor adventures, I was outfitting musical adventures—tons of folks get everything from us: guitars, amps, cables, straps, strings, tuners, pickups, preamps, speakers, headphones, and more.

So, I switched on the camera as I hiked, asked a few customers to send me videos, and began a long journey to some new branding. There are several AGFers in here; see if you can guess them. One will be easy because he essentially says his AGF username, but the others are harder:

I think your new branding campaign is going to be a big success. Keep up the good work!

Very nice, John. It seems to capture just what you want Shoreline to be.

Our own James Filkins was the first & the last! His McIlroy "Raven" gave him away.

Really nice John. I purchased an early McIlroy from you (#92) some 12 or 15 years ago. I only have fond memories of how great it was working with you as that guitar was built. Another "thank you" from Wisconsin.

Love it! Love hearing people's stories and learning more about Shoreline and John. I also really enjoyed the background music. Who's playing?

The circumstances around the acquisition of a beloved guitar become part of its lore, and the seller is no small part of that. Seems that Shoreline is thought of fondly in those circumstances by these customers. I'm thinking pretty fondly of John and Shoreline myself right now.

Joe Guam was in there, but the others?

Great video! Well done John and I like the "Gear for you journey" tag line.

Your new shirts look good too. Time to order some strings and a shirt, I think.

That track is "Two" from the record Storybook, from the great score composer Eric Kinny (actually, his group Analog Heart).
