Elaborate #6 please. It seems very counter-intuitive to what most people say.

I've been mostly self taught for years. I took lessons from two guys I found. I was disappointed in both (the lessons, not the guys). I felt like I was directing where the lesson would go and paying them to confirm what I was doing.

Maybe I am too must of a self starter... or maybe lessons really are bad?

I keep thinking I would love to find a good teacher to give me direction, but at this point in my life, I don't have time. I just do what I want to do.
