Guess the price of the guitar played in the following audio clips
I thought this would be an interesting thing to do. This guitar is not mine so it's different than the two I own. Please:
1. Guess the price of the guitar played in the audio clips. 2. Name the songs. https://vocaroo.com/i/s0OMspXtgfpM https://vocaroo.com/i/s05abUzw69hI |

Kind of sounds like an Asian resonator. Do not know the tunes.

Hint: Look at my post history for song names. I probably played it too bad y'all can't even recognize the songs.

Focus on the important part y'all! How much is this guitar?

I'll guess $35... but based on sound I wouldn't pay that much for it at a garage sale.
Ok... Shock me.

It’s out of tune for starters, and not played that well. I hope this isn’t insulting... but given the question/challenge in the post, I figure my comments are in-bounds.
Can’t really put a price on it from this performance. Not enough data to render judgment. Sounds like rosewood back and sides from the sharp overtones, but that’s as far as I can go.

No idea. The first track sounds a little like Pancho and Lefty. The other doesn’t sound like If I Needed You to me.
No idea what the guitar might cost. I agree that it sounds out of tune. The recordings are not a great advertisement for that guitar, if that was the intent. EDIT: I don’t mean to be harsh. The tone of my response is based on my assumption that the intent of your post was that we’d all be shocked that this isn’t a $2,000 guitar.

It would surprise me if the OP posts much on AGF anymore.

The playing was really good to me and since I’m a rhythm player WAYYYYYY better than I could do! To me, it sounds like my friends old Yamaha that he paid $100 for.

It’s definitely not played well, I just recorded once so there’s mistake for sure. See, I’ve been playing for four five years and haven’t been improving for a while. If you can share yours I’d be more than eager to learn from yours, so I can get better. |
