Default Another cure for GAS!

Nanny Jane has long wanted to have the hall stairs landing and bathroom redecorated. £2000.

I needed a new set of specs: £900

One of my front teeth broke: £1500.

A "plumbing" event causing: nasty damage to the downstairs ceiling £????

And next month I have the annual "MOT" (safety check for my car, a major service, possibly two new tyres, and new renewal of breakdown cover.

..... and I was thinking about buying an Eastman 00 or parlour !

Huh!

Definitely sorry for your troubles my friend. I wish you well.

As another poster alluded to in here, sometimes things happen for a reason. This could be the beginning of something great for you.

Take care

I do understand the feeling. I'm going through a similar (although much less intense) scrape of luck right now. Hope everything works out ok.

Life! Just when you think you've got this...

Which guitar are you going to sell?

Better days are coming,

Hi Folks,
Please understand that I'm not seeking sympathy.

Thanks, but this is merely a financial inconvenience. I'm fortunate, at least currently, that My savings, although diminishing, are able to meet these costs.

Maintenance of houses and bodies is an increasing necessity as both age, and I do have "one or two" guitars to play.

In fact at 71, I'm in a "strange place" between wanting another guitar, and thinking I should start selling off my collection.

Other forum members have written recently of far more serious issues, and my inconveniences certainly don't compare.

As long as I can keep the cancer and the lung issues away, I'll be OK.

I've just planted a hundred onion sets this morning (in the rain), and ordering £50 worth of veggie seeds so apparently I'm planning to be around next year.

However, I've asked Nanny Jane not to buy any green bananas!
