Were you using it for knife scales?
You have inspired me Mark to send in some of my left over Amboyna to Charis, and have him make me a few sets!
Retired now...but here is just a few examples of my old trade. Playing guitars is once again my passion. It never hurts to add a little beauty to the mix.

I saw a set of rodgers tuners for a uke( just 4 buttons) on YouTube at $750.!!!!!!!!!! Beauty it seems comes at a price.

By comparison, this is an affordable upgrade (at least I think it is - I haven't researched any prices).
Good stuff

I have a set of mandolin tuners on one of my mandolins that the father and son team of Rodgers made for me. They’re very nice tuners, but were astonishingly expensive, and I will never order another set of gears from them.

There’s more to the story than that, but let’s just say that in my case they created a very unhappy customer.

Oh man... I've been a tuner button swap fan for years. I mostly do ebony, but have done several snakewood sets too. This thread is making me jones HARD for more swaps. I'm thinking that I need to swap the buttons on my two Guild 12-strings. I think they're Gotohs, but need to verify. It's amazing how much a guitar is "classed-up" by replacing boring/cheap looking nickel-plated/chrome with hardwood.

Interesting. I'd like to replace the tuners on my Eastman mando, mandola, and octave. But I was never gonna spend Rodgers money on those. The nicest tuners I've done were Grand Schallers on three classicals (which I chose over Irving Sloanes).
