Default LR Baggs VTC

So you know, I have another thread regarding the Gibson Songwriter……

My Songwriter came with the LR Baggs VTC electronics. Been fooling around with the strings and saddle height and now it is time to plug in.
I find myself wondering what the tone control wheel is supposed to do. If it made audible changes I am not hearing them…….
I can move the tone wheel and I THINK (when I need to I can) there is a difference, but when I start playing I don’t really hear any change. So….my hearing is worse than I thought…or…perhaps I need to consider changing the system. I have the LR Baggs ANTHEM (with the mic) in another instrument that I like. The VTC is new to me so I do not know how much control over the tone I should have, but I do not really notice change.
Any thoughts?
