NGD - and it’s a bit special
So I’ve not yet got around to doing a NGD thread. I’ve been really getting back into acoustics in a big way during the past couple of years, and after a good long while of watching discussions and learning from others on the forum, started contributing a little while ago. I’ve been on a bit of a journey. NGD posts I’ve avoided so far include a great Atkin 000-37S, gorgeous Martin RM50, knackered Yamaha FG180 project (still in bits upstairs), an interesting and time-tested 1948 Martin 0-15, and an excellent Gibson J45 Vintage. But today - the day that will finally kick me into learning how to post photos - I have a great new arrival.
I’ve got myself the Atkin 0M37 Custom known as “The Raven”. Torrified adi top, stunning Macassar ebony back and sides, nicest neck I’ve ever played. Didn’t go in looking for it but once played yesterday it’s been a non-stop obsession. So - my next post will be pics - possibly even a video (as Atkin showed it’s construction during a recent vid). Congratulations on the new custom guitar; however, I wouldn’t be too quick to unload the Martin and Gibson. You might miss them.

Believe me - if I could keep them all…! I’ve been on a search for a good J45 for about 6 months. I finally get a great one and this one turns up. I figure there’s no shortage of J45s (though a good one takes some finding) - but I can’t see another set of ebony like this turning up soon.
