Anyone know what kind of acoustic this is?
I got this about a year ago and there are no manufacturer markings on it anywhere, I looked as far as I could see in the body.
You can see the photos of it here http://picasaweb.google.com/10886021...eat=directlink |

Crack and possible ways to solve
The crack you could have avoided by not opening the case for a few month. I not know where you live but the humidity in VietNam is bad for acoustic guitars but you can do something about it you can buy a humidifier at wdmusic in the USA and if the crack is straight there is a easy to use tool to fix cracks that you can buy at StewMac.
Comparing the two builders is like comparing quality and crap. I know both builders personally and where Bruce is a not skilled builder ( he has no building skills at all ) are instruments made by Tony even to be seen in museums in both Taiwan and Japan. A guitar build by Tony himself is a masterpiece which is a joy to play. There is a lot of bashing on these people but in the case of Tony it's not right what people write here about him. He does not care what people say but I like to emphasize that he knows more about guitars and other instruments than many luthiers. To be clear; I may be a friend of Tony I NOT get free instruments and I am not paid to do postings like this but I get a bit tired to read crap where only Bruce Wei would be better off if he would stop having **** instruments build and sold ! |
