Default Bad Dog!

So my Pyrenees/Boxer pup, Zambonie loves to chew?? Go figure. Well somehow, two of my Charmed Life Casein picks ended up in the wrong location at the wrong time. They were in a small zip bag and my boy decided it was too much to resist. Well, lets just say; I have a bunch of smaller sized picks now. Ugh and lesson learned. It could have been worse....I think?

Just think, many of us lose picks and have no idea where they went. Perhaps Scott (Charmed Life) has a new endeavor on his horizon... dog pick treats for the guitar enthusiast.

BTW, Zambonie, what a great name! Is he/she named after the hockey Zamboni?

I can relate. Our last dog, Chili, ate an expensive guitar strap before it even got out of the packaging. Man I was pissed.

Yes if our 5 year old Aussie finds a pic I may have left on the floor, he will give it few chews and then spit it out. The funny things is on one of my larger triangle style picks the teeth marks actually make it easier to grip --go figure

Must be a breed thing. Our Rusty (2 year old Aussie) got his paws on one of my Fender "clown barf" medium pics and cracked it in the middle, creating a very interesting picking geometry.
But, he also chewed to death a $70 Peterson tuner, which was less humorous. Happy ending, though. I posted this on AGF. A Peterson sales rep read it, reached out, and sent a new tuner. Pretty cool. It is now kept out of paw's reach.

JK…love it!

Yep. Dogs like to chew. Especially puppies. There's no way around it.

I hope your extension chords are stowed safely..... The worst that I've suffered with my 18 month old Schapendoes is a couple of pairs of otherwise quite serviceable shoes, after he taught himself to open sliding doors. Oh, and the wife isn't quite happy with the condition of the wooden frame of the futon couch.

Yes, it could have been much worse! He could have actually eaten them. You would have had a fairly substantial vet bill if the chips had damaged his stomach or intestines. Not to mention the pain and suffering for Zambonie.

My guys always find a way to entertain me.

Not as costly as my last black lab, Mr. Preston, who chewed BOTH of the shoulder belts in my Toyota in half WHILE ON THE WAY TO DOG OBEDIENCE CLASS!

He was lightning fast and got through them before my wife or I even felt the damage, even though we had our belts on.

That was $320 to replace the belts, much more than loosing a Snark to Toby the chocolate lab who came to us as a rescue.

be glad it wasn't on the neck of the guitar

I had a setter that when she was teething, gnawed almost completely through my two legs of the table I got from my grandmother...

Our Maltese does not like collars. He will do what ever he can to get them off.

So my wife puts a flea collar on him. When he got it off he not only chewed it he ate part of it.

That was a Vet bill of $1200 for emergency surgery. No more flea collars.

The little stinker.

Bad Dog!

About chewed picks.

I fingerpick everything using my nails as picks.

Think I'll leave any thoughts and stories to those who cherish their puppies.

Good photo!

Have you read the Chet and Bernie books?

My guitars get fully inspected! No guitars or gear have been damaged but the so called indestructible balls from the pet shop have taken a beating! (I should post a photo on the ball Pet Shop site!)

We used to have a male Rottweiler and a female Bullmastiff. She used to chew on his neck (playing) and turn it to hamburg. So out of pity I bought him a spiked collar. She chewed it off within three days. They actually got along fine, but they played rough.
