Thanks to this thread, I ordered this from Sweetwater: https://www.sweetwater.com/store/det...release-system

But (full disclosure) I'm really after the candy bag . . . .

Now I have one of those D'Addario things, (though) I haven't really used it yet.

Mostly I just tie a loop of paracord (or similar) to the end of the strap long enough that I can feed the strap back through it.

"loop big enough to feed the strap back through it" - I would not have thought of that- very helpful. Thanks!

Comment: Every Taylor has a strap button on the heel. Much less noise from the masses if the instrument manufacturer installs the strap button as OEM.

My D'Addario quick-release snap came today. It works OK,
I'm going to use it some. The loop on the headstock end
is only big enough to be looped over at the nut... I wish I
could loop it above the E tuners. I wonder if Mr. D'Addario reads
this forum ?

Until I mustered the courage to install strap buttons on the heel of my 2 guitars I created a device that I believe I’ve seen used with a classical — Rather going to the headstock, I directed the strap under the waist, then back up to the sound hole with rubber padded hook, that I had to devise on my own. (My strap buttons are way more efficient and secure, and every time I use them I am thankful).

It's not a snap (looks like one). It's a riveted button.

I think it's more secure than the normal connection at the end pin.

I just moved mine (on my Parlor) up past the E-tuners, and it still fits fine.

A box of these stainless kayak tiedown loops arrived today,
I'm thinking about installing one on my Citation (Guitar Of Quality).
