Default Headstock attachment options?

Hello, I do not wish to install a strap button. What are some options for a headstock attachment piece that will not marr my Collings?

I like to just tie off to the headstock. I like the idea of the D'addario
thing J Patrick posted... I think you have to put it on with the strings
off? So once the little dongle end is on there, it is on there until at least
the next string change...?

In my imagination, I'd like one of these things, but I've never
seen one in real life...

Nah you can take it on and off whether a guitar is strung up or not.

I used the d’addarios on my guitars too. Keep one on each. Easy on and off tho I don’t take them off.

I normally just tie a leather thong above the bottom set of tuners (as in the above pics).

I also have a Walker and Williams strap on my Larrivee Parlor which seems to work just fine.

I tried the the headstock loopy thing...it’s just awkward for me having the strap at that angle at the headstock. I just drilled a hole on the treble side of my heel and badaboom badabing it’s perfect. The loopy thing is inexpensive and easily removed if it doesn’t work. I can appreciate you not wanting to “marr” the guitar, but it’s not a marr, it’s an accessory.

Hello, I mean that I want to avoid an option that will leave marks on the headstock. It will allow me to take out any guitar I choose, strap button or not.

Thanks for all the replies. My first thought was the leather ties approach. Should be ok as long as my knots can be relied on.
But this Walker and Williams piece is interesting. Makes me wonder - do you feel the snap is secure enough? And would it be large enough to move it out past the E pegs? I dont think I would like it at the nut.

I used to use one of these thingies:

Used it at many bluegrass jams, open mics, etc. never had a problem with it, but I stopped using it because it made me uncomfortable. Because of the little plastic button and the angle that the strap and the button interface, I kept imagining that it would fail.

Now I have one of those D'Addario things, (though) I haven't really used it yet.

Mostly I just tie a loop of paracord (or similar) to the end of the strap long enough that I can feed the strap back through it.
