Default Entertaining FJ Interview with Steve Poltz

I've followed Steve Poltz for quite a while. He has collaborated with just about everybody: Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, Billy Strings, Jewel, etc. He is a very crazy dude.

Jason Verlinde interviewed him for Fretboard Journal and it's a very enjoyable interview: https://www.fretboardjournal.com/pod...6-steve-poltz/ In the last five minutes he talks about his Taylor guitar, "Smoky Joe," and he'll leave you in stitches.

Hope you enjoy it!

Rick

I was a SXSW stage manager for 10 years. Steve played at my venue a couple of times so I got to know him - a really good guy!

I heard this interview. I didn't know Steve Poltz, but now I do! The interview is so wild that I had my wife listen to a bit of it. And it's almost not an interview; Jason hardly gets a word in. I liked it, recommended.

I heard one of his songs in a bar back in the late 90's. Searched him out and picked up his "One Left Shoe" cd. Great stuff IMO.

I used to go see Steve when he played with The Rugburns and then solo. Funny, talented and quick witted he's also a darn nice guy!
