Default What does Carl Miner play...

What does Carl Miner play when he goes home at night?

I did a quick google search, and didn't find any good answers.

AGF's admiration for Carl's work (TNAG and elsewhere) is well documented. He's played just about everything.

Anybody know what his personal guitars are?

Peghead Nation has a video of Carl playing what they describe as his Collings OM1 AT Traditional so it looks like he owns and plays at least one Collings. :-)
Best,
Jayne

Carl mainly plays a Gibson J-45 Vintage, an all-hog Waterloo and a Collings D1A.

Around the 1:30 mark, he mentions Collings (OM1JL specifically) and old Gibson/Martin guitars with a dry, woody sound as some of his favorite guitars. Not sure if that's what he owns though.

I saw that, I guess I missed the pronoun "his."

These are the three he lists in the interview—primary studio guitars being the Gibson J-45 Vintage and the Collings D1A.

I take these to be tools for doing the job at hand his working tools. I take the OP to be asking what does he play when he wants to play?

The J45 Vintage doesn’t surprise me - given I just bought one sight unseen basically on the strength of his video for North American Guitar. Love it. One day I’ll work out how to post pics and do a load of NGD posts at once!
