Speaking of Capos, Shubb Fine Tune
I have one and like it. Your thoughts? It feels a bit light duty, but maybe its supposed to?

I have 2. One in gold and one in silver. Love them. They are light and like a piece of jewelry.

My thoughts are that my regular Shubb works just fine and therefore no need to spend that kind of money just to have one that will always be attached to my guitar. I mean, it's nice and all but the standard Shubb is fantastic AND inexpensive.

I've got one and like it quite a bit. Have a very hard time understanding why an Elliott comes in at almost 2x the price of these.

Elliotts are a bit nicer and has a charm to it. Shubb is more industrial and gets the job done. I have both the F1 and F3, and like them a lot.

I have used Shubb capos for 30 years, and I find the BEST one is STILL the original C1b in terms of playing in tune. I bought a couple of C1/C1G/etc (the ones with the roller) and found all of them pulled the guitar out of tune.
YMMV

In the end, though, they both do the same job & do it well. Just sayin', Frank |

They both eventually gave way to a pair of Colorado capos for that brand's new and interesting offset feature and those both gave way to a (soon) pair of G7th Heritage capos. Never tried the Elliot. I think for the money, the Shubb FineTune capos are a great yoke-style capo that fits a nice niche between the basic and inexpensive Paige and the much higher priced G7th and Elliot. |

I have 5 of them and I love them, I’ve tried nearly all brands and styles and these are my favorite at any price.

I don't see how the roller style Shubb can cause the guitar to go sharp any more than the older version does.
I have both styles and prefer the roller for it's smoothness.
