Default What is "CAA"?

What does "CAA" mean when talking about Martin guitars?

Can't say definitively, but would venture a guess it means Custom Aged Authentic, but would need to see it used in context to be sure.

A = Authentic (e.g., D-18 Authentic 1939, or D-18A 1939 for short)
AA = Authentic Aged (e.g., D-18 Authentic 1939 Aged, or D-18 AA 1939 for short)
CA = Custom Shop Authentic (e.g., Custom Shop D-28 Authentic 1937 (shows both non-aged and aged versions), or D-28CA 1937 for short, and often called “Custom Authentic” without the “Shop’”)
CAA = Custom Shop Authentic Aged (e.g., Custom Shop D-28 Authentic 1937 Aged, or D-28CAA, also “Custom Authentic Aged’)

The Custom Authentics (including Custom Authentic Aged versions) are only available through Custom Expert dealers. They are similar to the regular Authentics, with some variations (e.g., different rosewoods, adjustable truss rods on the CA versions vs. non-adjustable (i.e., more authentic) truss rods on the Authentic versions, etc.). Totally self-explanatory.

Fairly recent addition to the Martin family.
Adirondack tops, hide glue construction, truss rod and the aging is minimal with some crazing. Not a reliced looking guitar.
I have a 000-28CAA and it is a very nice instrument.
