Default all dressed up and ready to go(Gibson LG2 content)

just finished tonight, started on this geewhiz a month or more back, taking care of two 90 yr old parents, full time job with call, and trying to have a little time for myself.

new bone nut, 4 saddles cut to low and med height in tusq and bone, antique acoustics bridgepins(from germany-elderly sells them-awesome repo old pins and parts), slotted string holes at the bridge, frets leveled and dressed, pickguard cut from tortoloid, Kluson tuners cleaned inside and lubed, LR baggs checked and given thumbs up. finish buffing, schaller S strap locks, 3.4 lbs, plays and sounds like a fine Gibson. and i just noticed i forgot to put the truss rod cover on-lol

huge thanks to :

That would actually be an LG3 would it not?. I guess I am just Old School and as it is Gibsons' company they can call the guitar whatever they want. I am a big fan of the Antique Acoustics stuff. Sadly they no longer offer their tuners. The last LG2 I owned was a script logo '46. About two years ago I found myself sorely tempted to return to the fold when I ran across a '44 with a maple body at a small guitar show. If the seller had taken plastic (it was a Sunday and the banks were closed) that guitar would have come home with me.

I’m just now seeing this!

She’s looking good! The pick guard looks really nice. It was already a great little guitar and now with all the work you’ve put it in it I’m sure it’s even more amazing. The recipient of this one is going to be very happy. I’ll always miss this little gem of a guitar but this has been a fun post sale experience watching the care put into it and what the future holds for it.

Great work Daryl!
