Default 314-LTD - Amazing Koa

Just swang by the local Taylor dealer for a few minutes. Played a nice grafted W-14. Then, I saw it - a 314-LTD with Koa, gloss finish, and the ES. Looked pretty nice from the front, and had a very reasonable price tag for this much guitar. Then I picked it up and turned it around. I almost fell over - it was the prettiest Koa I have ever seen anywhere, anytime. The back was beautifully matched (two pieces), and this wood had more extreme color variation than any Koa I've ever seen. It had nice deep darks, moved to some really pretty redish-browns, and then to a totally striking and amazing blonde! I've never seen this much color shift in a single piece of wood. Wish I'd had a camera to get pictures.

Anyway, I can't buy one right now (would have left with it if I could have), but if anyone is interested, drop me an email and I'll send you info on the store.

BTW - it sounded and played really good too.

Am I reading this right... 3xx LTD with ES? I thought only the 400s were being offered with ES as Limiteds. Or did I miss the announcement on this?

Default IF MONEY WEREN'T AN OPTION

.. . . . and if I didn't have a 310-ltd. . well, you know the story. I love my 310 and will never part with it, but a 3xx-ltd in koa would go great with my maple.

Mark,
You would love the Bill Nichols custom koa pickguard he made for it... I also have a "squiggle" TRC on order for it.
I'm working on pictures I can post...
Ah, sorry, you can't have it back!!

Same idea, but a little more of the real dark stuff, and the pattern is the reverse of that one - dark near the center and lighter towards the sides.

I'll drop you an email in a bit.
