I am fairly new at playing and just getting to were I can put together a whole song and sing. But I was hoping to get some help on the song amazed by lonestar. I'm getting married in three weeks. I was hoping somebody knows this song and can help. I know there all kinds of different strum patterns But none of mine fit. Any help at this would help. Thanks.

Default Don't know Amazed

Listening to it now on YouTube.

The strum patterns are straight 4/4 - nothing fancy. But the key changes are tricky.

Best of luck - see if you can find someone to give you a hand with this.

i don't really know the song, but i had a quick search and look/listen.

here is a live version with a few shots of the guitarist:

i also saw this 'lesson'. i can't recommend it so heartily, as some of the technique, such as holding the guitar and pick seem a little less then perfect, but the chords and strumming pattern are there.

here's another version, easy to watch the strumming.

there seemed to many more covers, watch as many as you can.

The full name of the song is "The Wedding Song (There is Love)". It's by Paul Stookey (of Peter, Paul and Mary fame) and is indeed a great song to sing at a wedding (I've done it for several over the years).

Might not be the best choice for a groom to sing to his new bride, though, which is what I think the OP is looking for.

Congratulations on your upcoming marriage, BO.

For what it's worth, I would never have wanted to sing or play a song at my wedding. When my wife and I got married 41 years ago, the minister knew that my wife and I performed professionally, and he wanted us to sing something together as part of the ceremony. We said NO WAY. For us, it was just too important, there were already too many nerves. Better to let the hired musicians do their thing. I had enough trouble memorizing the vows...

Congratulations!
Glenn

Look at lick by neck.com there is tab'd arrangement that carries the melody.
