Coated 12 string sets?

I use Elixir PB Lights (.010 - .047) 12 string sets on my Taylor 12 string guitars. They start tuned down a semi-tone to D# with standard intervals. A while back, I tuned the 355 to DADGAD intervals (e.g. the E-strings are now tuned to C#) and really like what this does.

If I want to get back to standard I use a G7th Newport 12 string capo with the compensated pad in 'capo 1' position. No need to re-tune when applying this capo or removing it. Also works with the DADGAD tuning to bring it up a semi-tone in capo 1 position.

I fingerpick all my instruments using my nails as picks.

Don

I had understood that Gibson no longer made/sold strings and can't find any here in the UK.

Buying strings for 12 string guitars is a nightmare!
I use NewTone and John Pearse to buy custom sets. I recommend you check both of them out.
