Default NGD Guild F512E

I made a couple of changes to my collection. Added a Lowden S32J that I am really happy with.

And I've just changed my 12 string. A McNally OM 12er gone and a Guild F512 (spruce on rosweood) has arrived.

That McNally is a super guitar. One of the best tops I've ever played. Superb tone. It pushed and pulled me musically into some nice area. But all said and done it is an OM body 12 string and I wanted to try out that big Guild.

Edit : The Guilt arrived and is really nice. Very happy with it. Here’s a quick song, Early Morning Rain, which is typically one of the first I will try on a new guitar. I just love the song.

I can imagine the excitement as you await its arrival. I believe that you will find that it sounds different (better!) than any other 12 string you've played.

This arrived and is everything I was hoping for. A really nice, solid build, and sounds fantastic. Just like the 12 string in my head.

I'm particularly impressed with how responsive it is to fingerpicking but no doubt the licks and riffs sound best with a hefty pick in the hand.

Quick and Dirty phone pics. I'd have been happy with either finish but this is a nice burst and I'm always partial to one of those

Since the demise of the 18" F-612 associated with John Denver and Tom Chapin Guild's F-512 has - as you've discovered - become the standard by which all other 12-strings are judged, and with good reason...

Use it well and often...

Beautiful Guitar! Congratulations!

I've got a Maple F-55 that I adore and now you've got me Jonesing for an F-512...

First world problems!

Thanks all. I did a quick recording of Early Morning Rain. It’s a nice guitar to sing with. I am holding back a lot in terms of head room. So much power there, but responds very sweetly.
