Question: strings with the same gauge always have the same tension ?

I am interested in knowing if strings from different brands have different tension even if the gauge is the same. Let's take for example the light gauge
12-53. Is the tension to the guitar neck the same whatever is the brand, or it differs by manufacturer ? I am interested because I'd like to string my Taylor with the lowest tension set of light strings 12-53.
