Default Sigma DR-35

I just bought a Sigma DR-35. I was told it was one from the 80's when they were owned by Martin and made in Japan however I don't know how to identify that for sure as the stamp on the bracing on the inside has been sanded off for some reason. The only indentifiers insider are the DR-35 stamp and serial number. The logo on the headstock is the Martin style with the 1970 portion underlined. Does anyone happen to know if this would would be Japanese or Korean? Oh yeah, the running machines say made in Japan, not sigma or grover like I've read most say.
