Default Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500M: Source for Nut & Saddle?

Howdy. I lucked into an AJ-500ME on CL over the weekend for a ridiculous price. It's a little scuffed-up and is missing the nut, saddle and pins.

Does anyone know where would be a good source for bone replacement parts for this guitar? I assume the factory (which I haven't called yet) would be overpriced.

Does Bob Colosi carry these?

Thanks,
Charmed Life

If you have the capability of providing fairly accurate measurements, i'd bet Bob Collosi could provide what you want.

These are examples from the MusiciansFriend website. I don't know if they would fit your guitar.
Is it odd that the nut, saddle and pins would be missing from your guitar?

They don't happen to have a phone number, do they? The only contact info they list is email.

Thanks Again Very Much,
CL

Army, thanks so much. This is another good alternative for me. I'll call MF to ask, but do you happen to know if that nut is specific to Epi Acoustics or Electrics, or do they use the same for all models?

Thanks again, though. I really appreciate the info.

Best,
CL

Dan, thanks, my friend. If I end up flipping the guitar, which is most likely (I already own one with a great B-Band pu in it), I think Bob's prices are more than I'm willing to spend.

Something to consider for sure, though, since I know his materials are topnotch.

Best,
CL

Why not take it to a local luthier/repair person and have them make one for the guitar?

If I end up flipping or reselling the guitar, this plus a setup would make it cost-prohibitive. However, if I end up keeping it, this is a viable option.

BTW, does anyone know the quality of the built-in factory pickup on this guitar? How does it sound? In general, I have not been impressed with factory rigs.

Thanks,
CL

If it has the eSonic dual source pu, I think they sound great. The mix between the magnetic pu at the end of the fretboard and the under-saddle pu is great.
Unfortunately they have a history of being unreliable. In my Masterbilt, the undersaddle pu has failed. Fortunately the magnetic pu sounds pretty good by itself...
