I think that explains a lot, even though he had nothing to do with the Hummingbird.

After this pic was published the standard of not wearing stripes with plaids was introduced. We won't discuss the hat.

Back then there were all sorts of social clubs, some of which dressed up in clown suits like this. That’s what this is. I think I’ve seen a photo of Gibson with his clown group, though I wouldn’t swear to that in court.

But from the 1880’s through about 1910 this sort of social group was pretty common.

Well I do have that exact same suit but I'd never wear that bow-tie with it ... wouldn't want to look pretentious.

Your wife called Bruce...she wants the drapes back...says she'll swap them for the throw rugs in the den and basement...

He was either a member of The Swiss Guard or he bought his clothes at the same Wallmart that I frequent.

Hey who says you can't rock stripes and plaid all at once? I think I see a belt AND suspenders under there too. And what about that gravy boat on his head? Brilliant! A true original IMHO.

Actually he was probably the only one that could have pulled it off too!

Had to be Walmart. Swiss Guardsmen carry Halberds.
