I've got an OM21 and a 0015...
The OM21 sounds 'better' - richer, fuller, louder The 0015 is way more comfortable to play, so I pick it up much more frequently. But then, I'm only a small guy, around 5'7" tall, so, you know, if you're over 6' you may well disagree with me. I guess it depends what you want the guitar for. If it's going to be amplified then the volume of it is irrelevant. If you're going to sit on your porch playing it, then I'd go for the 00 every time. If you're getting up at jams with no amplification I'd probably pick an OM (or 000 - depends entirely on your scale preference).

Yes, the longer scale OM is my preference, too.

Uh, you do know that if both are following Martin's designs, that a 14-fet 000 and an OM have exactly the same body dimensions?

Thanks for all the input so far. I have gone back and forth so many times. I’ve had both the 00 and 000 in my shopping cart ready to go and can’t make a darned decision. If I got a 000 I would probably get rid of my MArtin as the pre war would probably get played instead. 00 means I keep both. Already have OM covered in IRW so would probably go with a mahogany.

I ordered my Pre*War a couple of months ago and went with a 000. The body size is the most versatile in my opinion and I like short scale guitars - most of my current guitars are short scale.

I don't play 14 fret flat tops so my choice is 0, 00, 000 and dreads.
I got 'em all! 0 and 00 are the shorter scale and the 000 and dreads 25.5" standard scale. Mediums on dreads (and my short scale jumbo) lights on everything else. The dreads are more for performance but as I have two trigger fingers which are getting pretty bad, I tend to use the jumbo more at present. I find myself using my 000 std scale, lights mostly for teaching. My prettiest design ? my Eastman E40-00. FWIW - I do believe that the 12 fret 00 is the most beautiful Martin design ever. My "0" - (eastman E20-P" gives an incredibly robust sound - focussed but vibrant.

20-24 months was what I was quoted when I confirmed in late August.

000's and OM's are the perfect size for me. If they get any smaller they start feeling like a toy. I like the Dread size too but not as much as the 000/OM.

I've recently been playing an ooo and a grand auditorium for comfort. But I played an Auden Jumbo the other day and actually found it really comfortable and realised how much bass I had been missing - particularly using a capo and singing. So I'm going to go back to dreadnaught next.

I love 000 12 frets for the slotted headstocks and just how comfortable they are. They just fit perfectly in my lap.

I like the 14-fret OM, although I also have a 12-fret 000 and now I get a Drednought sloped shoulder 12 fret, so I don't stick to a specific model.
