Default New Waterloo WL-K!

After socking away money since those heady pre-COVID days, I had amassed enough cash for the small Waterloo acoustic of my dreams.
But none could be found, and Collings was deeply back-ordered. Until I found one locally!
These Waterloos are Collings-built reproductions of Depression-era guitars made by Gibson and Martin under other names, they are extremely lightly built with few aesthetic appointments.
This particular model is a Kel Kroydon replica, and weighs 3.1 pounds.
Notes pop out in a dry, articulate way, and it's loud for such a tiny thing. There is a K&K pickup installed though I'm not sure I'll use it.
What do you think?

You have my empathy, William, lefties don't have the options we righties have.

I've always loved the look of the WL-K. Understated, yet very attractive. So light they almost pick themselves up for you. Congrats on finding one. Not an easy hunt!

Thank you, Kevin.
I like your words, understated yet attractive.
That plainness has an appeal all its own.

That is a very cool looking instrument. I bet it's a blast to play. I've never seen a Waterloo in the wild up here in Canada.

Wow. You own a lot of vinyl. Cool.

And enjoy the guitar. Unique little beasts.

Oh it's fun to play alright, thanks MBee!
The Twelfth Fret in Toronto got this in, and I acted quickly.
Good shop, highly recommended.

Enjoy your new Waterloo! I am lucky enough to own 2 (WL-12 and WL-S Deluxe) I have not had the opportunity to try a K model but I'm sure I'd love it.
