I really should get a good camera to post this stuff, the iPad just doesn't do it justice.

Nice little Nuclear Family!

(I wonder how many younger AGF'ers even know to what we refer........?)

Bernie, I'm not younger (54) so I got the reference instantly. Good one Cypress!

Were they put together in a pit on Tinian?

Ok, guys we get the nuclear bomb reference. Since this is a sensitive topic (and has nothing to do with guitars), let's focus on the instruments and leave the commentary on bombs out of the discussion.

Hello All,

I didn't intend to wander into the sensitive territory here.

The guitar on the left is a Martin Norman Blake 000-28. 15 inches wide at the lower bout. If you check out the neck, it is a standard 24.9 inch 14 fret neck joined to the body at the 12th fret. Consequently the bridge is shifted back quite a bit.

The jumbo is a Greven Prairie State, 17 inches across the lower bout with a 26.25 long scale neck.

Because of the way the two guitars are built, the Greven actual has 3 inches more of the neck exposed then the Martin, even though there is only about an inch and a quarter of difference in the scale length.

Anyway, if it had been in focus it would be a really cool pic.
