Can anybody tell me if the LS and FS bodies are the same size?

Thanks,

Which wouldn't be bad.
I just received a 2014 LL16 and think I'd prefer a smaller body.

BTW, the LL16 sounds fantastic.

Yes.....not quite 000 size however, they are 4-3/4" deep at the lower bout.

I believe they are the same size. Personally, I wish they were both "standard" OM depth like the FG-110 of old.

I'm not convinced the extra depth adds significantly to the tone but it does make it a bit less comfortable to play (while seated).

I agree, I have a FG 150 (exact same size as the 110) and once had a LS6.
I didn't like the depth of the LS6 so I moved it on...I don't believe I sacrificed any tone by keeping the 150.

In the end I did have issues with the body depth however slight...always felt "off."

I have an FS700S guitar and an LS6 case. The FS700S fits snugly but perfectly in the case. I have collected some unofficial measurements of the LS6 and my actual FS700S measurements and the bodies seem to be almost the same if not the same. Note, though, that the FS700S has a 25" scale and 43mm nut; the LS6 has a 25-9/16" scale and 44m nut.

Thanks for the replies everybody.

Last night I spent a little bit more time with the LL and it's just too big for what I want.

I'll send it back and get the LS16 instead.

Now I have to decide on rosewood or mahogany.

It's always something.
