NKD Koaloha
I just received my new tenor Koaloha KTM-00 ukulele with a MiSi pickup. My herd of musical instruments keeps growing since I started playing the guitar in 2020. this is my first ukulele to add to my musical herd of 7 guitars and 2 pianos. LOL
Shout out to Isaac at Ukulele Labs who I purchased the ukulele from. Weekly, I take guitar, singing and piano lessons, and now to add an ukulele to the mix. However, I find coming from my guitar background with fingerstyle experience, and a decent grasp of music theory, the ukulele seems not that hard to learn...yet

Enjoy!
I've had my KoAloha Tenor for a few years now. It was my second uke, have 4 at the moment. I went the opposite way--started with an uke. Now have 1 guitar that is mine--although there are three others in the house. Are you going with low g on the 4th string? |

For now I'm going with the low G. I've read all the articles why you should go with the low or high G, and I'm not sure what camp I'm in.
I guess maybe to buy another ukulele, and set up for high G. LOL What is your opinion? Right now I'm learning things using Ukulele Aerobics. It's interesting as everyday, they have an exercise to do to learn something new. I also have my guitar teacher who is helping me out with my questions. I have an open mic group on Friday nights. For my 15 minutes/3 songs I was thinking about playing one song with guitar, one on the piano and one on the ukulele. How about that for variety?

My KoAloha and resonator tenor are set up low g.
Another tenor is set up high G--all though I may change that at some point. This tenor is my only plug in uke and I use a PreAmp/DI so I can make adjustments that way. My concert is set up high G. So far this has kept me pretty happy in my playing. 3 songs three different instruments! I'd say your doing something right |
