Help with ooo16
So I have this beautiful Martin ooo16 sunburst I love it except I can't find strings that I like on it. Any ideas? I have tried the new dadarrios, hate them, phosphorus bronze hate them, Martin nickel hate them. So need some help any ideas?

What do you play?
What technique? What do you expect from the guitar tone-wise? As for email4eric's remark - you are partially right, but sometimes, as a guitar opens up it may sound better with strings other than the ones we buy it with. Plus, certain straings loose overtones with time and maybe this is when OP met the guitar. So, maybe... he needs a set of used string the guitar came with. Or... he should put a fresh set and wait until they die;-)

Im still trying to figure out why the thread title indicates a 000-16, but then he says its a D16. How can we help you decide on strings if you were talking two completely different guitars?

Ahh not sure why I put d16 I meant ooo16. As far as strings I have no idea what we're on it. The strings I have tried have had to bright and tinging sound not at the full bodied sound it had when I bought it.
