You have to put the image on a server. In other words post it to a website. If you don't have one some people post to a service like shutterfly and link to it.

Dropbox works very well too if you put it in the public folder. Then all you have to do is right click on the image file and choose "copy public link" and paste that where it asks you for the url in your post.

Quicker to do once you learn it, than it is to explain it. You have to post your photo(s) to a photo hosting site. Flickr is free and works well, as do other hosting services. On Flickr you upload the picture, then you just click on your photo and choose the "View All Sizes" from the down arrow at the bottom right, and when the different options pop up, choose "Medium 500" and right click the picture and choose "Copy Image Address". Return to your post and paste the image address between Image Brackets…or use the Insert Image (small graphic of mountain with a sun on the tool bar). Once you learn the process for whatever service you choose to host your pictures (most of which have free options), it's quick and easy to accomplish. Hope this helps… |

The easiest (no need to sign up for an account, etc):
1) go to http://imgur.com 2) drag a picture from your computer onto the browser. This shows a "upload" dialog; click the "Start upload" button 3) the next page will show you your image. On the right, under "Share this image", you'll see links. You may need to click on "More" to see more links. You'll see one labeled "BBCode (Forums)". Click on the clipboard icon next to it to copy the link. 4) paste (ctrl-v or command-v) the link into a forum post. It will look like this (except without a space before the ]; I had to put in the space to make it display as code): Code:
