12th Fret Gobi
Gobi desert - a flat and arid place.
Musically that's metaphorically what it feels and sounds like whenever I play the low E at the 12th - a sustainless quack. I have a few guitars of different makes and have been trawling guitar shops trying to find an exception without success. On some it also applies to the A string as well. My cheap old nylon string however has warmth and sustain in spades at the same point. Is this a matter of construction?
