Default Acoustic Preamp track record

I've owned several preamps for acoustic guitar and thought I would share my thoughts.

Ultrasound PDI. Not a bad preamp but needs a mid range control. Built like a tank, has XLR and 1/4" outputs that can be used silultaneously with separate volumes. Also has an efx loop. Works ok with UST's but not with the K&K.

K&K XLR. I bought it to use with my K&K equipped Gibson AJ. I've been using it as a paperweight since forever. No mid range control? Will only run on phantom power? What were they thinking? What was I thinking when I bought it. Used it as trade bait. Glad it's gone.

Radial Tone Bone PZ Pre. Tons of features including a parametric EQ, efx loop, multiple inputs and boost function. I had high hopes for this thing but alas I've yet to get it to sound good with my K&K.

LR Baggs Para DI. This is the preamp I should have bought in the first place. Bottom line it sounds great with the K&K as well as my Fishman Matrix equipped guitars. I'm digging the efx loop where I connect my volume pedal. Best money I've spent in a long time.
