Default Renuzit Residue

I recently purchased a guitar wit ha Gig bag. The gig bag smells like cigarette smoke. I put about a pound of wood shavings, in the case, and left it set for a few days. Upon opening the case it still had a slight odor of smoke. I went to the store and bought a spray bottle of Renuzit, a fabreeze type deodorizer. I sprayed the entire case inside and out with a light spray of the renuzit. After a couple more days the case now is clean. My question, does anyone know if Renuzit may have any residue on the fabric of the gig Bag that may effect the finish on a Nitrocellulose finish on a guitar.
The case is very dry, but I wonder if anything may remain on the surface of the bag ?
