Default Greener Grass Guitars

Like many of you, I’ve a “Saving for…” guitar (Martin 000-18, ideally a 12-fret slot top) as well as some “If I had Bill Gates money…” dream guitars.

So my surprise last week when someone told me that my 00 Seagull cedar top was Their dream guitar…

If they were still making them then I probably would have bought one of those last year! But a second hand Art & Lutherie Legacy came my way so I had that instead. At present, that's my dream guitar.

It's a great guitar. Aren't they still making them on the same basic forms?

Now that I have a 2010ish Yamaha LLX6A and (same era) LLX16, the next logical choice would be the [same era] LLX26. There is an LLX26c also, but eventually I'd love to have the 6, 26, 26 and 36 all from the 2008 -2011 years with the ART pickups and no cutaway. They're out there, but not easy to find. Australia and Japan seem to have more available than stateside. The 26 goes for anywhere from $1500 - $3500. The 36 seem to be about $2600+.

Almost every guitar I bought came to me used. So clearly their owners thought the grass was greener elsewhere.
