Probably. I can manage it through my gr55 synth with the flute stop on the upper strings. But only, like, once a month.

I refuse to learn that song, so overplayed in my lifetime.

Apparently not: go into nearly any music store where there are guitars being sold and you'll hear someone playing it.

I don't play it much myself, but I don't mind it at all. Just because some people listened to the song 5,000 times doesn't mean I did. I've probably only heard it a maybe 150 times or so, and I still like it.

That could be an urban myth. We all think we hear it every time we go into a guitar store, yet none of us ever have heard it in one!

I guess I should try to learn it. I do like it. Is it hard to learn?

One of the greatest Rock songs of our lifetime. Why not play it? I enjoyed the "Freebird" discusssion when Jackson Browne played it and said that the guantlet has been thrown. Another classic performed by a classic. ........Mike

One of the greatest songs of all time by THE GREATEST Rock band of all time...PERIOD!!! oh that's right...better add the Just my opinion part to keep from pages of arguing. it's one thing to not like it or Zep (everyone has their own opinion) but when people make the usual board commentary about it being ya know...overplayed...over done...Must be a reason I say!

The haunting and surreal material found in Stairway to Heaven was delivered from the beyond...it will remain a musical classic for a thousand generations to come and more. Yes I love to play it...not just because of the guitar...but because of the haunting and truthful message delivered in the piece. Few other songs have affected, and saturated society in the way Stairway to Heaven does. It is the message..the teaching in it which every human being can relate to, no matter what era or generation they have come from. It is timeless. One can not even speak the words "Stairway to Heaven" and not HEAR its haunting tune and distant dream like message.
