Thanks for being generous. Please enter my name, I have two friends that have kids taking lessons. One rents a guitar for his kid and the other has a First Act. Anyway, both Dad's sit in on the lessons for the kids and they want to learn but, can't afford a guitar. If you draw my name I would have to decide which one to pass on your generousity too.

Thanks, Mitch

Please don't include me in your list.

I have been out on Comp since Aug 6 with a shoulder injury and just received a lay-off slip in the mail while on Comp. Sure things are tight but I thankfully am not in need of a guitar. I generally try to see how much I am blessed with every day. Seeing a thread like this just helps me realize how much I really do have and how much we can all take for granted.

God Bless Us One And All!

Great Idea.

I've given away a couple of Guitars to kids before and was always glad I did it. Amazing how the greatest gifts come not from what we get
but what we give.

Merry Christmas to you Sir!

EDIT: I do have somebody in mind to give it to if selected. ;-)

I am not in - just to pass by and say God bless for that gesture of kind generosity. We did some similar thing in another forum and it has been taken forward by more than few members so it's a nice tradition now. Just a week ago I sent a classical guitar to a 14 old girl.
Hope they take it seriously and put as much love into playing as we are.
Merry Christmas,
Niki

Smile Pete You are Awesome!

Hey! Thanks for sharing this with me. I am so proud of you and proud to be your sister. You are so generous. I would love to be able to PAY IT FORWARD with the guitar, but I don't know anyone at the moment who would be the right recipient. Please put my name in anyway. If it is meant to be, by Saturday I will have the name of someone who deserves this generous gift. If not, we'll take my name out and you can re-draw. Have a Heavenly Day!! Love, Teresa

Thanks for all the nice remarks. Chutist expressed my feelings the best: "Amazing how the greatest gifts come not from what we get
but what we give." Thru this post, there have been offers of giving free lessons, an offer of a hard case to go with this guitar, and a demonstration of the concern that so many members have of their fellow man. A guitar may not end hunger or bring peace to the world but it's one small step. Its like the butterfly effect. Pete
