Can't comment on the Tanglewood.
I find Epi's miss and hit. I have a hit (ELOOVS) and love it but would never buy one mail order.

Tanglewoods are pretty consistent in their build and sound quality, which is very good.

If I couldn't play the guitar first then I would pick Tanglewood.
