As a hijack - I want to give a huge shout-out to Tom and the gang at Santa Cruz. I just went on a tour there last week - Tom was incredibly patient with me, my 11-year-old son and my mom (who's 74 and wanted to check out their ukeleles I think she talked more than Tom did!)

The work areas were well laid out - and it was very cool because they had just taken in Ben Harper's old 1920's Lyon & Healey acoustic lap steel for a refresh and to build a replica of it for backup/touring purposes. They were all crowded around it, taking measurements and pics - very, very cool.

In the main work room, we saw one of their craftsmen working on the neck of their - what was it called? - limited edition Braz + Adi Dreadnaught; the one that goes for very big bucks. He was very patient and answered all of our questions while staying totally focused on the task at hand.

All in all, I came away very impressed by their work (a trip to Sylvan Music down the road only confirmed how much I need to figure out a way to get into an SCGC soon!). Great guitars and great people.

Sorry for the hijack - just wanted to show support.

WordMan/Scott

ETA: Oh - cool! I was referring to the 34D - the one profiled in the link posted right above me...
