Default Thoughts on Rockbridge guitars?

Would love to hear from anyone who owns or has played a Rockbridge guitar. Thanks.

They're fantastic!! I've had the pleasure of playing around ten different models, varying in sizes and woods. They are consistent. If you've played one then you can get an idea of the core tone they produce.

The tone is very balanced, clear, good bass, but mids and highs that are present. Great note separation. I can go on and on. The guys are great that build them. Very helpful, patient, skilled luthiers.

If you have more questions, just ask.

I owned a slope shouldered Rockbridge for a couple years . They are excellent powerhouse guitars. Built with very refined craftsmanship. Dynamic , responsive and explosive tone . Very high regard and respect for Rockbridge

Powerhouse is spot on, especially in describing their Slope D. Mine has Honduran Rosewood back and sides and Red Spruce top, and it packs a wallop!
Playability is exceptional. They build with a standard 25" scale, and the guys know how to set up a guitar. Their bracing hybridizes pre-war Martin and Gibson designs.

My only critique is that on some early builds I've played, fit and finish lagged a bit when compared to other small shop builders. However, they've come a long way in this area. And for me, tone and playability trump all else.

I have a Brazilian rosewood dred and it is an amazing guitar. Their build quality is the best I have seen. I really like the neck shape and the sound is great.

Jim Hurst makes a living with two I believe. I had him as an instructor at Kaufman Kamp last year and he had one of them there. Great sounding guitar. They would be on my short list of manufacturers if I were looking for one today.

Here's Jason Mraz playing a short set with his Rockbridge Slope D.

And here's some young upstart singer/songwriter who's been playing Rockbridge pretty much exclusively for the past two years.

I use my YouTube app to copy the link.

http://youtu.be/T0kREI8YiN8

Then in AGF post reply. Click on the red YouTube icon in the tool bar. It'll give you this:

Paste only this part of the YouTube link in the middle of the two sets of brackets:

T0kREI8YiN8

And you're in business!
