I find Elixers to be too bright on my Gallagher (I use Retros on it), but find them perfect for my wife's 000MMV, which needs brightness which lasts.

Hi Jay,
I just looked at Elixirs on the SD site and noticed a weird anomaly ,,,

These appear to be the exact same strings at two very different prices, unless I’m missing something (?)

http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strin...strings-p11790 (3 sets PB nano lights for £33.95)

http://www.stringsdirect.co.uk/strin...-3-pack-p11724 (3 sets PB nano lights for £47.99)

It don’t make no sense nor it don’t...???

EDIT: On further study it seems the 3 for 33.95 are a limited offer, not my gauge, but I’d get a couple packs o them quick if they were !

Bought a Taylor 812 recently that came with a new set of Martin Retro (Monel) 12/53s. They sounded dandy at first but have already gone dull just 3-4 weeks later. I'll try another set that the seller generously provided, but if the same thing happens — I'll try to remember to wipe them down each time after playing, which should help lengthen their life — I'll go with my trusty Elixirs, probably the 12/56 to help accentuate some bottom.
