Default 1997 DUDENBOSTEL 000-21S Uniquely sourced Braz/Adi

Sweet axe. Tone to die for. Exceptional quality. Lifetime guitar. Etc. Etc.
I'm pretty sure this was built to match the vintage Martin specs for this model.
Long scale, 12 fret, 1 13/16" nut, etc. String spacing is 2 5/16 or maybe 2 ⅜".
I don't have calipers and do have old eyes.
Old growth Brazilian Rosewood was provided by John Mickelson (The Fossil Ivory King) for whom the guitar was built. The Adirondack Spruce top was legally sourced by John Arnold from a tree in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park that was taken down by Hurricane Opel.
The guitar is in excellent condition with no issues. K&K passive professionally installed. Fossilized walrus ivory bridge pins, of course. Ships in a new Calton case. I'll cover shipping, ground, to CONUS.
Not looking to trade, I've already thinned the herd, now I'm selling the ranch.
I'm computer challenged and can't get pictures on my desktop to stick to this post. I think I could send to an email address or bring up "Dudenbostel 000-21S" on YouTube to see video of this guitar.
For $17,500 you can own this "Dude", dude!

Exclamation Bump

Mr Dudenbostel is an extraordinary craftsman and builds revered instruments. It's rare to see examples of his work for sale. It seems his focus now is building world class mandolins so the guitars are scarcer yet.
Don't snooze and lose!

Default A Real Keeper

Since the early 90's I've bought/sold/traded 70+ high end guitars. Martin, Gibson, Collings, Santa Cruz, Froggy Bottoms, Bourgeois, Breedlove, Larivee, Heiden, Tippen, McAlister, Preston Thompson, et al; and this Dudenbostel.
When I first played it, I was blown away. The other guitars were definitely quality instruments that delivered quality tone and value, but this was in a different class.
Physical ailments and advanced age dictate I play less, not as well as before, and with some discomfort but I can't give it up. I've found an instrument that doesn't beat but matches this Dude, It is a little smaller and has a short scale, so a better fit for my current situation. If not for that find, this is the best guitar I've ever played and would not be for sale.

Wink tire-kickin' data leads to "just sayin'"

I can only find 3 Dudes currently for sale; 2 at Carter Vintage and 1 at Guitar Gallery. Prices are $27,500, $25,000, and $24,895. One of those sports repaired cracks! None come with new Calton cases.
I know my asking price isn't chump change but seems like it might be a comparative bargain.

Flat pick or finger pick or strum; this guitar does it all and does it beyond compare.

Angry C'mon!

This guy is to guitars based on the Martin pre-war "Golden Age" as Ansel Adams is to photography.
